A co-worker expressed her dismay over the cost of the debate when so many other things are falling apart around it.

:-/I kinda agree. Seems like alot of money for two men to stand on a stage and talk! Why do all these political events always have to have special stages and sets made, why not use something that is already to use. It seems that might save a bit of money.

She seems more real than most of them, I think. But honestly I didn't get to watch the debate, just read reports about 'care if I call you joe' or something like that. Fill us in for those who missed?

McCain ans Obama met in a "town hall" style forum this week. They were asked questions from people in the room and from the internet. Although it was for the most part a civil exchange, both parties spent time pointing out the other ones faults, errors and speaking about why they would be the good change. Some people who were polled afterward felt they got more of the same, they heard nothing new. Some undecideds felt Obama won them over, some felt McCain did and some are still undecided. What do you think? The third and final debate is scheduled for next week.

Heard tonight that both should be hooked up to lie detector while they are speaking. Hmmmm not a bad idea.
A lot of questions have been raised lately about Obama's past but main streer media in not covering it, I wonder why?

It doesn't help when the people whom have a major outlet to display news, via television, internet or what ever, have a major bias against one candidate or the other - you can almost feel the negativism for the the candidate not in favor. Or better yet - anti/current political figures.
Just irritates me, thats all. I understand their freedom of opinion, however I think they need to take into perspective - their ability of influence.

very well said, until recent the news outlets reported the news to the people, they did not make it.

They say that the outlook for either candidate is about even now.
