The future of America is what we make of it. We have the ability to do so. With so much back and forth out there and now all of these senators retiring or quiting because they think the system is broken down... VP Biden saying that he has never seen it this bad... come on, everyone work together. Don't just say you want to, do it. Please.

Most of the people in congress only have their personal interests in mind whenever they do something. They think they are our rulers and know what is best for the "serfs", everday hardworking americans. They need to remember that they work for us, we pay $$$$$ and more $$$f in our taxes. Vote the bums out !!!

You know, i mentioned elsewhere that there is alot of eform bills going out - as to the future of america -- but what about our country NOW? Don't you think we should be doing something about our country NOW, something to fix the crisis' at hand, the loss of jobs and the possible and predicted 'double dip' of the economy [the price of all these bills maybe] before we work on healthcare, or wall street or any other of this that we won't see effects of for years? I made a web video that stated this election will change the shape of Armerica from here on out. I am only one person, the video wasn't so popular, but it doesn't matter to me. I will always say I told you so. Thats not so grown up an attitude I know, but I didn't take this sitting down, and I won't sit down while people point fingers either.

The photo going around the INTERNET with Obama and his feet propped up on the desk (if real) is a total disgrace. Great me have sat at that desk and in my opinion he is not one of them. I'm sure most past presidents have done it, but not in public.

I saw a program on the History Channel about JFK. It was really really interesting. It was news and video surrounding the hours leading up to and after the time President Kennedy was shot.
It was like watching TV as it was happening. Public reaction and live news interviews.
To this day, this remains one of the darkest days in American history.
I bring this up because it still builds the future the of America. All these years later. We need to think about our actions and what will come of them. What we do today effects tomorrow and generations to come.
Hindsight is 20/20 and we can't change the past but we can learn from it. What happened that day still shocks us.
Violence is never the answer yet it is everywhere in the world and it effects us all.

I went to a funeral today.
A boy, 14 years old, committed suicide. He left behind a father and a younger sister.
It was unknown as to why... but at the service his sister and his father made references to him being bullied.
Is this really the future of America? Our kids are picked on to the point where they have no alternative?
Now, whether or not that is why he took his own life, I do not know.
However, I do know life is precious.
As a mom, I could not comprehend the pain this father is feeling.
As a member of this society, we need to let our children know their actions have consequences.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and for all who have lost a loved one, no matter what the circumstances.

Bank of America announced they will start charging $5 a month to use debit cards in 2012.
This will apply to customers with modest accounts, meaning low balances.
Those who have lots of money will not be effected.
Now, think about that. Those will little money get charged the fees because they have so much extra to give away and those who have lots, well... they get to keep it.
What does that tell you about the future of our banking system? More are set to follow.

so·cial·ism 1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. 2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory. 3. The American people need to watch the other door, this President thinks he can slip something in with a distraction...
President Obama announced Friday that he is elevating the head of the Small Business Administration to a Cabinet-level position, as he urged Congress to also grant him permission to consolidate that and other federal agencies in an attempt to make government more efficient.
The decision to bring SBA Administrator Karen Mills into the president's Cabinet does not need congressional approval. However, Obama's much broader proposal to merge overlapping agencies does -- the president appealed to Congress Friday to help make that happen.
"This is the same sort of authority that every business owner has to make sure that his or her company keeps pace with the times," Obama said. "Let me be clear, I will only use this authority for reforms that result in more efficiency, better service and leaner government."
Under the proposal, six major trade and commerce agencies with overlapping programs would be merged. The Commerce Department would be among those that would cease to exist.
The proposal dates back to the president's 2011 State of the Union address, in which the president complained of government overlap and red tape that clogs the federal government, promising to tackle the problem. He injected a bit of humor into his speech to illustrate the point: "The Interior Department is in charge of salmon while they're in fresh water, but the Commerce Department handles them when they're in saltwater," he said to laughter. "I hear it gets even more complicated once they're smoked."
By late that year, however, officials shied away from forecasting when the president would fulfill his promise.
The White House announced early Friday morning that Obama would seek authority from Congress, not granted since the days of Ronald Reagan, to reorganize and consolidate portions of the federal government. His first proposal would be to reduce redundancy in the area of trade and commerce.
Should Congress grant the president this streamlining authority, each proposal he made would then receive an up-or-down vote from Congress within 90 days.
However, the president's track record with Congress isn't exactly favorable, following public disputes over issues like the nation's debt ceiling and extending payroll tax cuts. In an increasingly fierce election season, the president's move could be aimed at putting Congress on the defense.
The administration has for months highlighted a "We Can't Wait" campaign, intended to showcase issues that the White House says Congress isn't acting on. The president, therefore, has been unilaterally taking action; igniting controversy over whether he is overstepping his constitutional authority.
Now, the president will lean on the very Congress that he's been lambasting for its inaction.
The administration admits 1,000 to 2,000 jobs would be lost in the consolidation process, should it be approved, but officials say the plan would fall in line with the natural course of employee departure. The White House also says the plan could save the government $3 billion over 10 years.
From Congress, a spokesman for Sen. Mitch McConnell, the top Republican in the Senate, pledged Obama's plan would get a careful review.
The spokesman, Don Stewart, also said: "After presiding over one of the largest expansions of government in history, and a year after raising the issue in his last State of the Union, it's interesting to see the president finally acknowledge that Washington is out of control."
Brendan Buck, spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner, said Republicans "look forward to hearing more" about the plan.
"Given the president's record of growing government, we're interested to learn whether this proposal represents actual relief for American businesses or just the appearance of it. American small businesses are more concerned about this administration's policies than from which building in Washington they originate," he said. "We hope the president isn't simply proposing new packaging for the same burdensome approach. However, eliminating duplicative programs and making the federal government more simple, streamlined, and business-friendly is always an idea worth exploring."
Fox News' Kelly Chernenkoff and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Summary of Obama's State of the Union speech: -It's unfair that anyone has more that anyone else. -We will fix that by taking money from that have more and give it to you. -We need more money to spend on crazy environmental projects. -AND we need more environmental regulations because we can use the environment to control everything you do. -It's Bush's fault. -It's the republicans fault. -AND everyone who doesn't agree with my policies is a racist and hates the earth and kittens. -Everything sucks because this of capitalism (this is where obama thinks to himself that everything really sucks because of socialism but thinks that most people are to stupid to know the difference). -Reminds everyone how unfair it is that you make more money than some crack addict and so to make it fair he will take money away from you and give it to some crack head. -BUT he will only be able to tackle the unfairness if he gets a second term. [WOW, union bosses and environmental communists must be drooling at the thought of all the taxpayer money that will be filling their pockets.]

Turn your friend or neighbor in and get free healthcare wavers
The Obama campaign announced today that it was expanding its Attack Watch program in which alleged misinformation about the president is identified and the purveyor identified as either a knowing prevaricator in need of denunciation or an unwitting soul in need of correction and education.
The effort is so far most notable for having been turned into a Twitter joke by the president’s conservative critics, but Team Obama is doubling down with the creation of Truth Teams nationally and in battleground states to personally confront the president’s detractors.
The message to news outlets is that they had better tread carefully when discussing the president and his term in office, or they will find themselves getting a talking to from these Truth Team members (Truthers?).
This is the latest effort to replicate the success of 2008’s “Stop the Smears” effort by Obama, in which he used a Web site to address various claims – that he was born in Kenya, that he was not a Christian, etc. It was counterintuitive since political professionals always say to avoid repeating negative claims, but was the right choice about a little-known candidate with an exotic background and thin resume.
The reason it has been hard for the president to recreate the 2008 magic is two-fold.
First, Obama is probably the most famous person in the world so the “misinformation” has become more mundane and policy related. “States will be bankrupted by Medicaid under the president’s health law” is a lot harder to shout down than something about a forged birth certificate.
Second, it’s creepy and kooky when coming from the most powerful man in the world. Like when the White House asked supporters to snitch on friends and neighbors spreading “misinformation” about the Obama health law and was collecting offenders’ email addresses, it seems abusive. Worst of all, though, it goes from being something that fights conspiracy theories to evidence that Team Obama has conspiracy theories of its own.
Paranoia is not a pretty thing in politics, but awfully hard to resist because it is such a rotten business
