I don't know if you all know this or not, but Sesame Street turned 40 this past week. 40. That's pretty cool. I remember watching this every morning as a kid -- Maria and Luis, Oscar and Big Bird, Telly Monster, Linda, no Elmo yet but Mr. Hooper was still alive. Over the years the residents of Sesame Street have come and gone, its helped to teach kids not only the basics of learning, but also about life, the passing of Mr. Hooper, and even marriage and family when Maria and Luis got married and later had a little girl. The Christmas Special from the 1980's is still something I watch at Christmas when I can.
It wasn't expected for Sesame Street to last one season. But surprise, its still going strong after 40 years. Thats Iconic. Congrats to Sesame Street.
So why post about a kid's show on CMS? Its our opinions on everything and in all the different news out there, I thought this one was truly noteworthy. ;D
