What is your opinion...
Have you seen the videos and news?
A Dallas police officer pulls over a man who wen through a red light because he was rushing to the hospital to see his dying mother in law.
The family jumps out of the car, the officer pulls his gun. As some family goes in the hospital anyway, the man driving tells the officer his mother in law is dying "RIGHT NOW."
The officer detains the man for over 13 minutes after being told by security and hospital staff this is really happening.
The mother in law dies before the man is able to go see her.
Was the cop doing his job or was he being insensitive?
Look up the videos online and form your own opinion. Let us know what you think.

The cop needed to exercise some compassion. Yeah the man was wrong to run the light. But even if the cop still wanted to ticket him to make a point why did it take him soooooo long to let him go? Even after the security guy and a nurse told him it was a real emergency and that the woman was going to die at any second!!

If it was a minor traffic offense that did not involve public safety and once the emergency was verified.,
Send him the ticket in the mail.
Sometimes Police Officers have a hard time remembering the LETTER of the law and the SPIRIT of the law.

Our thoughts, , exactly! The officer was trying to make a point at a very insensitive time. He did not have to take it as far as he did, doing his job or not.

Well the guy was doing his job just not being very sensitive to the family.

The officer resigned today.
By the way, I heard that they were investigating as the whether or not the light was malfunctioning and stuck on red.
