From what started with the horror on wallstreet to the banks, to automakers and unemployment on the rise... it just seems to get better all the time.
This is supposed to be the near rock bottom and the upswing could take through mid 2009. Do you agree?

Sooner or later, things have to get better, right? It has been worse before, yes, but times were different. The media is everywhere now adding doom and gloom, it is up to each of us to find that "silver lining."

Just funny how it pretty much started with wallstreet back in September and has gone down hill from there. Never realized how that could cause all this mess. Got to worry now about people keeping their jobs and staying away from overtime.

Maybe the wrong people are working on fixing the problem.
The old saying: "The Rich Get Richer and The Poor Get Poorer"...
That part of our economy is still working.

Sad when that is more of a reality then what we think should be.

The cycle continues, the stock market still finishing at all time lows, more jobs are lost and more companies are going under. Where is the end?

I can see this ending when the people start to stand up and voice their opinion about what is going on with out government today. When I read a stimulus packtage that include 35 million dollars for ATV trails, it makes me wonder what our elected congress members are really trying to acomplish with tacpayer money.

That is interesting. How does ATV trails better the economy NOW? I thought this was the fix the job loss and foreclosures and to get our markets up and running again.

They have moved a lot of things around in an attempt to get this package to pass. Now it looks like it has, anybody want to take a guess on what will be different anytime SOON?

Well the market is down to about half, it's dropped about 2000 point since Obama was elected and about 1000 since he took office.
America wanted change, they got it and there will be a whole lot more change to come from "The Great One."
Continue to blame President Bush, it's the way out for all you change people.
And guess what, I am a Democrat.

Continue to blame President Bush, it's the way out for all you change people. The thing is, president Bush will be blamed for anything that goes 'wrong' for at least the next two years - if he is responsible or not. After that the blame will go to the fact that 'it takes time' to catch up, or something along those lines. Thats the way most everything works - shift the blame. Shift the problem. Or redirect it some how - as many of Mr. Obama's supporters seem to think that Palin said, "I can see Russia from my House." Yeah, take a second look at that. Maybe this was not stated by the Obama campaign but I didn't see any effort put in to explain the fallacy in this statement either. As to the economy downfall - this always happens with war people, and WE wanted this war. Also, its not just the war to blame. Google the economy crisis and see what comes up.

Their is plenty of blame to go around without one man shouldering it all. Everyone is some way has helped contribute to the mess we are in. How many people do you know personally that live beyond their means?
Think about it... the entire system of "credit" is designed to help us all do just that.
We cannot afford it so we buy it on credit and there you have it, you are living beyond your means.
Sure there are some purchases, such as a home, that credit is a necessary evil, but for the most part, it maybe we would all be better off if we practiced the idea of, "If you can't afford to buy it, do you really need it?"

Yup, credit is something a lot of us use and should try to do without. The lenders make it sound sooo good until you miss a payment and the hike up your interest rate some unheard of amount. I heard in 2010 they are not supposed to be able to do that if you are late on a payment because that is how they REALLY make their money!!

Credit is fun but it is bad. Learned that the hard way when I was younger. Maybe no one under 25 should be allowed to have credit cards that way you dont mess up as bad as a kid.

Credit is, unfortunately, an important part of what makes our economy work and without it on the move and flowing, we end up where we are today.

The credit crunch is really hurting small business, as of today, I kknow two small bussinesses' that have to lay off employess. Both have been in bussiness for many years. It is sad to see this happen. OBAMA where is the help you promised!!! Hope and change it is more like doom and gloom for every one but the Banks and our "porky" government.
