Over in the Economy - Nationalization of Banks the topic of re-doing the health care system to be government run came up: The record shows that any thing the government runs is bound up in red tape and politics. If this national health care plan is going to be so great then I say that members of the house and senate should be required to take the public option like the rest of us...stand in lines, wait for tests. and be denied care because of the costs to the government. Look at the record of health care by the government in other countries like Canada and England what a nightmare for common everyday people. Many of whom die while waiting for their turn So, I thought we'd open this topic here in its own catagory. What do you all think about it?

Anyone in the United States of America can go into any hospital and receive medical care., its called ahcccs. We do not need a Government run health care. With Government health care an Obama Czar will decided what is best of me and my family.
My parents and yours will not be cost effective and not receive care. They will be sent home to die. This will also apply to pre mature babies, if the Czar feels the child will not be cost effective, the child will receive no care and be left to die also.
This is America people, 70% of America has health care of their own, we do not need a Czar telling us what is best...

This will also apply to pre mature babies, if the Czar feels the child will not be cost effective, the child will receive no care and be left to die also. Keeping that quote above in mind go ahead and Google the following: In WWII at the death camps someone decided if you were worth keeping alive. The weak, the sick, the young and the old were always sent to the left. The strong and abled - to the right. The ones to the left went right to the death chambers. The ones to the right got to live. Sound familiar? This may be more 'humane' but someone is still deciding whom gets to live and whom gets to die. Its an extreme comparison - I know - but I am making a point. So how is this now ok if we fought in a war against things like this? Just because we aren't herding them into the 'showers' does it make it any different?

"President Obama suggested at a town hall event Wednesday night that one way to shave medical costs is to stop expensive and ultimately futile procedures performed on people who are about to die and don't stand to gain from the extra care."

I am concerned about my health care costs. They have increased greatly in the last year, but I am also concerned about what this new plan is going to cost me, especially since I am employed by a small business. Aren't they one of the ones being targeted by this proposed new plan?

It is time the american people wake up and see what is happening to our country. Stat run health care never works, it ends up being rationed. Any one with a brain in their head can look at the record of what is happing in Canada and the United kingdom. It is a health care night mare.
This seems like a good site, got the link off a comment on foxnation.

There is a saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Is it broken? Is there a better way? How come there is only one fix? What other alternatives are out there? Are we trying to reinvent the wheel or just trying to bandage what is already infected? Come on. There has to be something we can all agree on.

The first thing they could do is start listening to the American people and stop trying to control them with their personal agenda.

or they should start listening to Obama. He will heal and fix the United States if the people just listen to him.

The America people just need to stop the Obama agenda, this is not the change that the people wanted, expected or need.

On an almost straight party-line vote, Democrats in the Senate Finance Committee squashed an amendment by Senator Jim Bunning that would have required Baucus’ ObamaCare bill to be posted on the Internet – for all Americans to read – for 72 hours prior to the Committee voting on it.
They're leaving the door wide-open to pass Baucus' ObamaCare 6.0 proposal in the dead of night... under the cover of darkness… without even telling you and other concerned Americans what it will cost and how it will affect your health care.

What happen to the posting of 72 hours, OPPS, another broken promise from MR OBAMA! Vote out all members of congress, who don't read the bills!!!! READ THE BILLS and give us a chance to read them too.

Talking about healthcare went to the wayside as we went after the Olympics. We lost. Back to healthcare.

Health care is unfordable to many people. Why shouldn't the government help. I mean, people in our prisons have excellent health care compared to your average Joe on the street. Old people should get what they need but the last two years of a person's life tend to be the most cost in health dollars, why not offer them end of life counseling.

:(That is the thing, old people will be denied health care. They will be considered not cost effective...look out death panels will decide whose life is worth money and whose isn't. Young people will get care because they will be able to work and pay taxes but someone who is in their 80's not working, not paying taxes,,,,no care, stamped "denied". Sad but true.

Ready or not, health care is going to be crammed down our throats. And most likely the bill will be voted on without most the congress even reading it!! How stupid is that...vote these people out if they can't and won't take the time to read the bills. that is like signing a contract without even reading it. VERY STUPID!!!

I agree 100 %, but I don't think there is an actual Bill, I think it might be just a bunch of oral agreements. So they can threw in what they want at the last minute.
I wish I could do business the way our elected officials do.

Well, whatever it will be everyone will be unhappy about something. Heathcare is beyond expensive and it is a market that makes money. We all need it.

Sorry you didn't like it, but you better think about what your Parents and Grandparents mean to the Obama and the gang.
Now at least be honest with yourself and answer the following..... What has Obama done for you?
If Obama-Care passes, I will lose my job. Is that simple enough for you.

Thousands of people march against the obama CARE in Washington today, did our congress listen??No "president pelosi" told members of the house to be prepared to stay and vote on the bill before leaving for the thanksgiving break.
VOTE all these people out, dem's repub's any of them who choose not to listen and think they know better than hard working Americans.

More GOVERNMENT, and more Obama jobs for his Chicago thugs. If you where to track where this 1.2 Trillion goes to, ill bet most of it goes to Liberal based projects in healthcare systems and our elected official's retirement plans.
